Is ASICS “Running” Out Of Time?
It's hard not to love ASICS by this point. Sales are crushing all expectations. The innovation engine is running at full steam. They seem to have a lockdown on Japan / Southeast Asia and are experiencing ridiculous growth in Europe when it seems nobody else is (other than Brooks and On). All of this is the result of outstanding execution towards the company's current three-year plan, which finishes this year. Next month they will announce a new three-year outlook (Mid-Term Plan 2029) and nothing provides better credibility than backward looking success. But what is it going to take for a repeat of what we just saw? Is that even possible? The note digs into what seems most likely to become the key component of the company's growth strategy going forward: North America.
